The city of Allston is not sleeping well lately. Someone has been setting random cars on fire, and the entire city is on the lookout for the culprit.
Five cars were burned to a crisp on Pratt and Ashford streets early Saturday morning, according to police. Residents woke to find only charred shells sitting where their cars once were.
The vandalism appears to be totally random, police say, and no arrests have been made. What's worse is that there have been 8 reported car fires in the last month-and-a-half!
The Boston Fire Department stated that cars involved in these sprees have generally been located out-of-site and off the street and so far, no connection has been made between the fires.
