How to report a claim to Brownstone Insurance Agency
Having a claim can be stressful, but we make the process as simple as possible.
Our experience tells us that your anxiety level will diminish rapidly once you have been contacted by our experienced claims adjuster. By taking the following steps, we can react quickly and begin the claims process.
- Contact our office at 617-236-6400, or by email claims@brownstoneinsurance.com
- We will need: the Date of Loss, Cause of Loss, and Description of the Damage. We will also need a contact person's name, phone number and email address (if available).
- A formal claim will be sent to the insurance company, and an adjuster will be assigned. Typically an adjuster will be in contact within 24 hours, but in most cases, the same day. Questions of coverage will be addressed by our experienced claims adjuster.
- Chances are good that you will be contacted by a Public Adjuster and/or a Cleaning/Restoration Company. If possible, wait until your hear from our adjuster before you engage in a contractual agreement.
- The duties of an Insured are to take the necessary actions to prevent further damage (I.e. contacting a plumber if there is a burst pipe, or a roofer if there is serious inflow of water from the roof).
