Our Beginning

Brownstone Insurance Agency, Inc. has been insuring Boston and surrounding towns since 1982.        

The Brownstone Program was established in New York City in 1973.  The idea for the program was developed by agents who were living in the up-and-coming New York atmosphere.

Insurance agencies were not keen on insuring older buildings with flat roofs in transitional neighborhoods.

Problem Solved!

The Brownstone Program was established, and for over three decades it has grown and developed as much as the neighborhoods in which it started.

We're Here to Stay

Today, Brownstone has grown to include all types of multi-unit buildings, including: apartments, condos, townhouses, multi-families, duplexes, row-houses, and of course brownstones.

The program has also grown to include all of Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. The Norwell office manages Massachusetts while the New York office manages NY, NJ and the western part of CT.

We've been insuring local neighborhoods for 30-years, and we look forward to 30 more.
